Why Join a Guild?

  1. Talk about quilts with people who are as excited as you are
  2. Learn new skills, take workshops
  3. Spread love one quilt at a time through outreach
  4. Be in the know about quilt related events in the area
  5. Get help when you're stuck
  6. Be inspired
  7. Make new friends

Support the NE Quilt Museum

Wayside Quilters is part of the museum's Supporting Guilds program, so guild members are eligible for a $5 discount on museum membership.  Memberships are the museum's main funding source, so if you're able, please join.  Museum members get many benefits, including borrowing privileges at the museum's library.

Additional Positions

Being a Member Means Volunteering

Volunteering is a great way to get to know more members and gives you the opportunity to help shape the guild's future.  As with so many things in life, the more you put into the guild, the more you'll get out of it.

Members are expected to volunteer as they are able.
  • Hanging fliers for upcoming speakers & workshops
  • Setting up and cleaning up the Grange Hall
  • Suggesting activities, speakers, charities etc.
  • Working on the raffle quilt for the show
  • Entering at least one quilt in our show
  • Entering quilts begun in guild workshops in our show
  • Join a quilt show committee (a year before the show)
  • Work at the show (which let's be honest, is too much fun to actually count as work)
